As seals require proper testing in order to verify their performance, similarly the piping plans that act as a heart of the mechanical seal are tested. Hydro Test and Air Test are carried out before the product is dispatched for the customer. Leakage, the capability of the piping plan is moni tored during the testing of the plan. As a safety pre caution, these plans are tested for more than their working parameters. Not just the reservoir, plan ac cessories are also checked. Pressure tests are car ried out a􀈅er the hot works like welding and post–welding processes are completed. Post weld ing also sometimes contribute to deterio rating the mate rial mechanical properties of the component. Since the performance of the seal greatly de pends on the support system’s working condition, the piping plan is tested rigorously so that it can also serve in harsh conditions even a􀈅er the manufactured product is ASME and API compliant. These tests are carried out using calibrated and reliable equipment and under expert supervision.
